Refund Policy
This Refund Policy describes when GiftIt LLC (“GiftIt”) issues refunds for purchases made through the GiftIt services. It supplements our Terms of Service, Gift Card Terms, and Business Customer Agreement.
1. Gift card purchases
1.1 Successfully delivered gift cards
Once a gift card has been successfully delivered and the redemption code has been displayed, accessed, or partially redeemed, the purchase is generally final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law (including state cash-redemption thresholds for small remaining balances — see our Gift Card Terms).
1.2 Delivery and fulfillment failures
If a gift card cannot be delivered — for example, an invalid recipient email address, a failed provider order, or a code that does not redeem at the issuing brand through no fault of the recipient — contact us at support@trygiftit.com within ninety (90) days of purchase. We will, at our discretion, (a) resend or re-issue the gift card, (b) replace it with an equivalent gift card, or (c) refund the original payment method.
1.3 Duplicate or accidental purchases
If you made a duplicate or accidental purchase and the gift card has not yet been delivered or redeemed, contact us at support@trygiftit.com as soon as possible. If we can recall the gift card before delivery or before redemption, we will refund the purchase. Once a gift card has been delivered and accessed, we generally cannot recall it.
1.4 Unauthorized transactions and fraud
If you believe a charge on your account was unauthorized, contact us immediately at support@trygiftit.com. We will investigate and, where unauthorized use is confirmed, void the affected gift cards (if unredeemed) and issue a refund. You agree to cooperate with our investigation and, where applicable, with your card issuer or bank.
2. Wallet top-ups
Wallet balances are prepaid credits for use within the Services. Funds added to your wallet are generally non-refundable to your original payment method once posted, except where required by law or in the circumstances described in this Policy. On account closure or termination, any unused wallet balance — net of fraud-related holds, amounts owed to GiftIt, and required escheatment — will be returned as described in our Terms of Service or Business Customer Agreement.
3. Subscriptions
Recurring subscriptions (consumer gift-card subscriptions and any paid plan for GiftIt Business) renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing cycle. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial billing cycles unless required by law.
4. Business invoices and bulk orders
Refunds and credits for business invoices and bulk orders are governed by the Business Customer Agreement and any applicable order form. Business customers should contact legal@trygiftit.com with questions or refund requests.
5. How to request a refund
- Email support@trygiftit.com from the email address on your GiftIt account.
- Include the order or purchase ID, the recipient’s email (if applicable), and a short description of what went wrong.
- We will respond, typically within three (3) business days, with a decision or a request for additional information.
- Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and generally appear within five (5) to ten (10) business days, depending on your card issuer or bank.
6. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. Most disputes can be resolved faster directly with our support team. Initiating a chargeback for a gift card that was successfully delivered and redeemed may be treated as a violation of our Acceptable Use Policy, and we reserve the right to suspend or close the associated account and to recover delivered value where lawful.
7. Changes
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.
